 The Tropic of Capricorn is a latitude line which is an imaginary line drawn in the Southern Hemisphere.  This line was determined by Greek scholars.  Parallel to the equator in the southern hemisphere, at 23° 26′ 22″, is an imaginary line drawn from west to east on the globe.

 The Tropic of Capricorn passes through the continents of South America, Africa and Australia.
